A Day of Fellowship, Faith and Sisterhood: UK Virtuous Women Hold First Physical Meeting

Some relationships grow through conversations, shared experiences, and the simple decision to keep showing up for one another. For the UK members of Virtuous Women, 7th August 2026 marked a special milestone as we finally held our first physical meeting after several attempts to make it happen. To the glory of God, what had been planned twice before finally became a reality.
Members travelled from different locations across the United Kingdom to meet in London, Romford to be precise. We deliberately chose a neutral venue that would make it easier for everyone to come together, spend time with one another, and connect beyond our usual interactions.
God Prepared It All
Sometimes, the best moments are the ones we do not plan perfectly. We met at a restaurant that served a buffet, and God went ahead of us to prepare a particular corner of the restaurant where we could comfortably gather. Initially, we had hoped to find a separate space where we could discuss important matters and pray together after our meal. To our delight, the corner provided just the relatively quiet and comfortable setting we needed.
We had a lovely time together. Beyond the meal and conversations, we had the opportunity to bond, share experiences, pray, and strengthen the relationships that connect us as members of Virtuous Women. Since that meeting, we have enjoyed an even stronger sense of connection and sisterhood among us.
The Challenges We Faced
Of course, the day did not go entirely as planned. Although we prayed and made arrangements ahead of time, we did not get 100% attendance. Some members experienced train delays, while others had cancellations that meant taking different and sometimes difficult routes to get to the meeting.
Just when we thought the challenges were over, there was another surprise. After we had finished our meeting and were ready to head home, all trains departing from Romford were cancelled due to a fire on the tracks.
We were a little disappointed at first, especially after everyone had already navigated travel challenges to be there. But what initially seemed like an inconvenience turned into another opportunity to spend time together. We took more pictures, shared more laughs, and worked out how everyone could get to their various destinations. Eventually, we all took a bus to a particular station, giving us even more time to bond.

Looking back, what could have been a frustrating end to the day became another beautiful memory. It was a reminder that sometimes the unexpected moments become the most meaningful parts of an experience.

Our first physical meeting was more than just a gathering. It was an opportunity to put faces to familiar names, strengthen friendships, and experience the joy of being part of a community that extends beyond geographical boundaries.
At Virtuous Women, we believe that sisterhood is strengthened when we intentionally create spaces for women to connect, encourage one another, share experiences, and grow together. Whether we meet virtually or in person, the heart of our cooperative remains the same: building a community where every woman feels seen, supported, and valued.
We are grateful that this long-awaited meeting finally happened, and we look forward to more opportunities to connect, fellowship, and grow together. After all, the strength of a community is not only in what we achieve together, but also in the relationships we build along the way.
